Photography Contest
Description
KSR is a natural photo opportunity event. The environment is beautiful. The action is compelling. The mood is up beat. Everyone, it seems, wants to capture the event on their digital cameras. Here is an opportunity to share your best photos with the world.
Submit them for judging. The winners will be featured on our Web site at: www.kineticrace.com after the event.
There will be a Grand Prize, First and Second Runners Up, and three Honorable Mentions. The Grand Prize winner will be featured on the Home Page. The First and Second Runners Up will be highlighted on their own page. Honorable Mentions will be on a third page. With permission, names and photos of the photographers will be posted along side their winning entries.
Judging
Judges include the Turning Point Executive Director, the KSR Chair Princess, KSR’s “Kondor Queen” as the Head Judge, the KSR Web Master, and a member artist from the San Buena Ventura Artist’s Union Gallery.
Judges will be looking for high quality, high resolution pictures that capture the whimsical quality of the event including, but not limited to, competitive action, human determination, crowd reactions, beautiful environment, candid moments, vehicle technology, and special effects photos. Winning photos will be those that stand out from the usual point-and-shoot pictures.
Photo Submission
Photos can be submitted anytime after the event but not later than Oct 24. Winners will be announced no later than Oct 27.
Submit photos to the event's Web Master at: jwales@pixelpointpages.com. No more than three (3) photos can be submitted by a participant photographer. Photos should be in a standard digital format, preferably jpeg. Non-winning photos will be discarded after the judging. Be sure to submit copies only. Turning Point Foundation retains all rights to the wining photos and will use them at its discretion.
